Good policing is needed in order for companies to operate effectively. How many detectives has the Ghana police service got and to what extent do they pursue cases? Too many people are being robbed of their toil and sweat.

I think the police tactic is a good one that will confuse petty criminals, and probably save lives. Too many people are expert critics, who never pose any sensible solutions to the problems that affect the Nation.

With the street lights working how effective was Ghana Police doing their job than dumsor. This is childish of a police service coming out with this statement to combat crime.

(Man gives his wife a dirty look.)
Cop: I'm also going to give you a ticket for your broken tail light.
Man: Broken tail light? I didn't know about a broken tail light!
Wife: Oh Harry, you've known about that tail light for weeks.
(Man gives his wife a dirty look.)
Cop: I'm also going to give you a citation for not wearing your seat belt.
Man: Oh, I just took it off when you were walking up to the car.
Wife: Oh Harry, you never wear your seat belt.
Man: Shut your mouth, woman!
Cop: Ma'am, does your husband always talk to you this way?
Wife: No, only when he's drunk.

It is a Good move by Police to start using their motor bikes effectively to peruse these unruly bike riders.
How on earth did these civilian bike riders acquire licenses to share our roads? The sad part is, the same police look on whilst they blazingly break all road user rules.
This is not only dangerous to them but to us drivers and property. I have personally witnessed 2 accidents at traffic intersections where bikes ignored red lights and run into abiding road users new vehicles... Value of damage will run into tens of thousands of cedis.
They overtake on your left, your right, don't stop at intersections, ignore road signs and signals, use pedestrian walkways, ride towards oncoming traffic on high speed roads....etc, etc, etc.
Stop these unnecessary escorts of wannabe politicians and use these assets acquired with tax payers money to bring some sanity to our roads and communities. As for the tro tros and taxies, the less said, the better.
Ghana police shine your eyes and not your lights.

This is the dumbest idea I have ever heard from any policy maker. Just one of the motor cycles they intend to buy will cost more than 10 SOLAR STREET LIGHTS. Why not use the money for that instead. We have enough sunlight and the technology, so why not buy more solar street light instead of a few motor cycles. I will be happy to advice the police on what type of street lights to buy.
