In all my life I have never advocated for anyone to be sacked from his / her employment but strongly feel that whoever was in charge of the repairs should be sacked immediately for not making provision for alternative means of crossing. What is the use of the Ghana Army to provide temporary bridges to alleviate the problem. Its really sad to read about old people struggling to cross.and spending 24hrs for the privilege and pay for the service. Shame on you whoever was in charge.

The Ghana army is not as loyal as you think. Asking them to do this can be taken as maltreatment for them

At the end of the day, Ghanaians will complain and complain about this but the same *hi* will continue to hold the country back and make its government look like fools. C'est la vie.

2. Is it the contractor's or the Ghana government's?
3. If it is the contractor's responsibility, why did the goverment not ensure that proper equipment are procured for the crossing?
4. If it is the government, who did the procurement of the ferries and for how much?
I smell foul play. Either somebody is showing full disregard for the people by not doing his job well and so must be taken on.
Whoever is supposed to provide the ferries has plenty of quetions to answer.
These are the issues our newspapers hould hammer on. Instead, all they do is NPP, NDC.
I think the people have the right to sue the goverment for trampling on their human right- freedom of movement

An effective, efficient and economical contingency should have been anticipated, planned and executed long in advance of the Easter Holiday. The Ministers have shown a high level of pre-independence backwardness!
In this particular case, the Ghana government is wholely responsible and accountable. The Ministers have clearly demonstrated that have no concern for the ordinary needs of the common people. Demonstrations and media pressure should be mounted to drive the lazy fools from office. Such foolish government behaviour is the main source of our shame in diaspora.
